「ボトム・ライン（Bottom Line）」とは、元々会計で使う言葉。財務諸表の損益計算書の一番下の欄、いわゆる「ボトム・ライン（Bottom Line）」には財務上の収支決算の最終結果を示す数字が記載されている。要すれば、これが企業の通信簿でもある。そこには経常利益や当期利益が記載されており、多くの投資家や与信を判断する銀行マンはまっさきにそこに目を向け、その企業が儲かっているかどうか判断する材料とする。
しかし、企業評価はそれがすべてではない。この財務的な評価をする数字の部分は、単に 「ファースト・ボトム・ライン（First bottom line）」でしかない。それと同等に考えなければならない評価項目がある。それが2番目の「社会的な評価」である。これを「セカンド・ボトム・ライン（Second bottom line）」と呼ぶ。

「ダブルトップ」とは、山が2つ出来た状態のことを言います。
「ダブルボトム」はその逆で、谷が2つ出来た状態のことです。
ダブルトップ、ダブルボトムは、市場価格の波でできた「トレンドパターン」です。
ダブルトップ、ダブルボトムの基本と傾向
ダブルトップ、ダブルボトムは共に「トレンド転換のサイン」です。
こうなれば、再び上昇トレンドとなりそうですが、
①の高値を越えずに反転し、③で下降しています。
(もちろん高値を越えて反転しても、ダブルトップです)
③で下降に転じ、④で②のネックラインを越えたことにより、
ダブルトップが完成し、トレンドが転換しています。
